Welcome!

To be a writer is the greatest job in the world. To have the ability to develop individuals and create their lives in whatever direction you would like them to go is a gift of art that can make many people happy, sad, elated or scared.
I was blessed with the gift of storytelling at a very young age, and I have used that gift my entire life. My early stories may have been abominable, but I am a firm believer of practice makes perfect. Forever Sunshine was not the first novel I wrote, but it was the first one I published. Since then, I have released Hannah's Blessing and have been working diligently on The Evans Family Series. I will have plenty more to come, and I hope you enjoy them all! Thank you very much for visiting my site, and I hope you'll come back again soon.

A bit about Collette
I have heard voices in my head since I was just a child. I began writing their stories when I was eight-years-old and shared them with my best friend. We had a lot of laughs about it and came up with some crazy scenes when we were kids. Since then, my writing has become more serious. I prefer to write stories that end well, despite the trials and tribulations that my characters go through. So often life deals a hard blow, and it is all in the way that you handle it that makes you a strong and well-rounded person.
Though originally from the Boston area, my family and I moved to Arizona. I currently reside in the 'Valley', which is the Phoenix-metro area. The Valley is constantly changing, though the growth has slowed down with our sluggish economy. Coming from the Pilgrim's landing place, this dynamic city is so new and still bustling with growth. There are very few buildings out here more than 50 years old, and people come and go with the monsoon season! The Southwest is a land of magic, beauty and danger, and I don't think that I will ever grow tired of it.
I obtained my bachelor's degree at Arizona State University. I majored in English literature with a minor in sociology. My master's degree in education came later. Throughout all of this education, I have still wanted to 'just write'. I remember even telling one of my high school administrators that when he asked me what I wanted to do with my life. He suggested a degree in journalism. Nah. I just wanted to write about the stories in my head!
So I am at the point in my life where that is what I'm going to do. Write, write, and write some more. My family and friends have been incredibly supportive, even finally breathing a sigh of relief and saying, "it's about time". I consider myself very lucky to have been given the wonderful gifts of ability and support, and I hope I am able to entertain others for many years to come!
